History
Tru-Val Electrical Corporation was founded by Michael Totaro Sr. in 1963. Michael quickly became a leader in the industry specializing in all forms of control wiring. His goal from the beginning was to build a strong foundation for a family business. Tru-Val remains a family business as Michael’s son; Chris has provided the leadership and direction since 1995. Chris expanded the services and scope of work capabilities in 2003 by merging with Romar Electric to start a NJ division of Tru-Val. Tru-Val’s business has grown from a $1.5 million backlog in 1995 to over $150 million today. This systematic growth has been achieved through many types of projects including new construction, fast track, design building, rehab, and high tech fit out work, large infrastructure projects for DEP, Sandy recovery projects and Co-generation.
